A home-based Building Inspector is sought by a national Approved Inspector. Applicants are required to have existing Building Control or Structural Warranty Surveyor experience in order to provide a dual inspection service. Salary of up to £55,000, enhanced pension, private healthcare, annual bonus.
The role would focus on the inspection of self-builds up to national housebuilder sites across the region at different stages of the build process with the aim of minimising risk as far as possible.
Coverage will include sites up to and including Neath, Merthyr Tydfil and Newport.
As a Building Inspector your role will involve:
Site inspections and surveys on projects that are either completed or under construction
Ensuring work is completed to a standard which complies with current regulations, technical manuals, and health and safety
Completing reports and documentation based on site findings
Frequent liaison with peers and management on technical matters
Building Inspector criteria:
Existing Building Control / Structural Warranty experience required
Associate/full member status of RICS/CABE/CIOB preferred
Degree/ NVQ Level 6 qualified surveyor in construction related discipline
Broad understanding of insurance principles
Technical inspection knowledge of new build residential sites from foundation to completion
Full UK driving licence
Salary up to £55,000 dependent on Building Inspector experience
Annual bonus and salary review
Fuel allowance - 45p per mile / Car allowance - £350 per month & 15p fuel
