Business Development Manager

£27k to £40k basic with uncapped commission structure (up to 15% to 20% additional earnings)

Location: East Midlands

Company Car, Lap top, Mobile Phone and Pension

The company are one of the leading Commercial Fleet, Lease Hire companies in the Midlands. Due to expansion of their sales division, they now have 2 opportunities for new business sales professionals from the commercial fleet, leasing markets.

These newly created positions are for new business sales professionals. Please note, this is not an Account Managers position. It is a selling role, where a strong proven background in sales is essential.

For the right applicants, the position offers an exciting opportunity to join an expanding business where your earning potential is unlimited.

Responsibilities:

Prepare action plan for effective search of sales leads and prospects

Promote the company, products and services to ensure a professional company and brand image is provided at all times

Understanding the customers needs so their enquiries can be dealt with accurately and appropriately

Provide quarterly and annual plans for sales to the Director

Grow revenue of sales and meet objectives by re-establishing relationships with existing clients and predominantly generating new business

Produce proposals and present information to the customer

Be responsible for sales reports and ensure they are presented in a factual, timely, consolidated and consistent manner to senior management/board of directors

Gain an understanding of what business has been lost and won

Research business sectors, ensuring you constantly have a grasp on what is happening in the current market

Thorough knowledge of the market, be aware of current market trends

Develop and maintain database, keeping all information updated

Continual meetings with prospective clients

Ensure an accurate and up to date sales pipeline including movements

Develop a New Business Development Plan, having a clear plan both short and long term. Showing regular updates throughout the process

Requirements:

A proven sales background in the commercial fleet or lease hire market is required.

Proven consultative sales background - with strong negotiation and influencing skills

Proven sales history in achieving sales targets

A good planner with structured problem solving and decision making ability

Proficient in writing proposals and reports in response to customer needs

A high achiever who likes to work to demanding goals and targets

Strong customer focus and in depth understanding of internal and external customer relationships and business processes

IT literate and familiar with Microsoft Office products - particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word

You will have a dynamic personality with a passion for success with a desire to makes things happen.
