A specialist provider of process automation solutions is seeking a Design Engineer to work within their tight-knit engineering team. Based in offices near Bradford, you will benefit from a starting salary of £50,000 (depending on experience), 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), early finish of Fridays and 3% pension. The company works with some of the largest manufacturers in their respective fields and supplies some of the biggest aerospace and automotive industries.

As Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the detailing of Special Purpose Machine or SPM to comply with CE regulations and product specific requirements. On occasions and when available to include customer specification and/or user requirement specification.
• End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Working to high standards by adhering to the protocols and procedures ensuring that the control of drawings complies with the customer and organisations standards.
• Modifying existing drawings when required to and to an agreed schedule.
• Providing technical advice and support to customers, suppliers and colleagues
• Leading the on site commissioning team providing the point of contact for the customer.
• Identifying whenever possible opportunities to increase efficiency and cost reduction.
• Using Solidworks to create 2D and 3D CAD concepts and final drawings to industry standard.

To be a successful Design Engineer you will have:

• Oven experience as a Design or Project Engineer.
• Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc
• Experience in Special Purpose Machinery, Automation equipment and Assembly Machines.
• Proven experience in designing machines or systems incorporating motion, actuation, pistons, servos or motors.
• 3D CAD (such as CREO, Solidworks, solid-works).
