A leading design consultancy of product design services is seeking a Contract Design Engineer to work within their tight-knit engineering team to support them on a 6-month contract. Based in Edinburgh, this company are looking for an experienced CREO designer with experience with sheet metal enclosures. This is a 6-month contract paying £40 per hour gross outside IR35.

As Mechanical Design Engineer will you be responsible for:

• Mechanical design of sheet metal enclosures and assemblies.
• 3D modelling and design of sheet metal.
• Design for manufacture.
• End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
• You'll utilise your expertise in the CREO CAD package to design innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product, or Innovation Engineering.
• Experience in the design of Sheet Metal Enclosures.
• 3D CAD experience with CREO.

In return, you will receive an excellent benefits package which includes:
