My client are a dynamic and rapidly growing company within the power solutions industry and are in need of a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mechanical engineering, have strong experience and understanding of engine maintenance and able to competently carry out fault-finds with the use of diagnostic systems.
Job Role of Workshop Engineer:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role as a Workshop Engineer will be expected to be in control of the maintenance, service and repairs of automatic transmissions, drive train systems and diesel engines. Candidate will be working with an assortment of engine types, and carry out extensive diagnostic and fault-finding procedures. You will be expected to manage own work in progress, ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, attend regular training courses to maintain up to date knowledge of equipment and be an active team player sustaining the companies prestigious reputation.
NVQ Level 2/3 qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Maintenance or similar
Preferably served a Full Apprenticeship
Experienced Diesel Engineer, Vehicle Technician, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, FLT Engineer and/or Ex Forces will all be considered for this opportunity
Technical experience working with engines, electrics & diagnostics is compulsory
Salary & Benefits:
Attractive salary circa to £28,000 - £32,000 (OTE £30k - £34k )
Overtime available, paid at 1.5 hours
