Located: Leicester

Excellent Salary with 33 days holiday, pension, staff discounts and free parking

The company are a leading on line retail business in the Leicestershire area. Due to expansion of their marketing team, they are now looking to appoint a Marketplace Manager to be responsible for the maintenance and growth of all marketplaces, as well as integration of new marketplaces throughout the UK and overseas.

The position is managing a small team of two. Photographer/Designer and Marketing Assistant.


  • General and Task Management
  • Work to ensure that each marketplace has the maximum amount of listings possible displaying
  • Analyse product performance data to identify areas of success and potential improvement
  • Seek opportunities to increase sales whilst maintaining profit, both via promotional marketing and specific marketplace opportunities such as FBA
  • Launch new marketplaces in a successful and efficient manner
  • Communicate marketplace integrations and changes to relevant areas of the business
  • Maintain the company's website and brand marketing
  • Work to meet company's marketplaces revenue targets
  • Manage relationships with external parties
  • Manage integration system project.

People Management

  • Build team philosophy and cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets and objectives
  • Maintain training matrix and ensure employees are adequately trained and competent within their role to ensure operational flexibility
  • Preach the values of communication within the department and with other departments and external parties


  • Marketing background is required with experience in developing new market places throughout the UK and overseas
  • Retail/consumer on line background preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to establish logical practical solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Good IT systems knowledge
  • Good knowledge of specific areas of the role and current marketing practices
  • Embraces personal challenge Confident, rounded thinking
  • Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working with others
  • An excellent communicator
  • Able to meet deadlines and see projects to conclusion
  • Able to work core hours for different time zones
