A specialist manufacturer of robotic PCB testing machinery is seeking a Contract Design Engineer to work support their tight-knit team on a 3-month contract. Based in Macclesfield, this company is looking for an experienced Inventor user with experience designing high tolerance small moving parts and precision engineering. This is a 3-month contract paying £30 per hour gross Outside IR35.

As Design Engineer will you be responsible for:

• Mechanical design of sheet metal enclosures and assemblies.
• 3D modelling and design of PCB testing rigs, small moving parts and welded assemblies.
• Design for manufacture.
• You'll utilize your expertise in the Inventor CAD package to design innovative and creative solutions to complex problems.

The successful Design Engineer will have:

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product, or Innovation Engineering.
• Experience in the design of small precision moving parts, Inventor, and precision engineering.
• 3D CAD experience with Inventor.

In return, you will receive an excellent benefits package which includes:
