I am currently recruiting for an Electrically bias Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of one of the largest independent livestock and speciality feed manufacturers concentrating on pellet, compound feed, roll and nut. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment, machinery, computerised systems, organising repairs, PPM. This fantastic opportunity offers a great training programme, 4 on 4 off shift pattern, pay reviews, cycle to work scheme, pension and a salary of £38-£43k.

Responsibilities:

• Designing Maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
• Diagnosing and dealing with breakdowns, emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
• Carry out routine, scheduled maintenance and quality inspection jobs.

• Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings, or components.
• Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
• Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
• Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.

Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer:

• Experienced Maintenance Engineer is required in the FMCG/Food sector
• Apprentice trained engineer in Maintenance or Electrical Eng.
• Experience of working on PLC's are essential
• Must be able to interpret Electrical Schematics
• NVQ, C&G or BTEC Level 3 as a minimum in electrical engineering.
• 18th edition Health & Safety (Highly valued)
