Door Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 (Basic salary £29,000 - £33,000 door to door).

North West.

A well-established family run business are seeking a key member of staff to join their expanding business after opening a new office in the midlands twelve months ago. The initial position is for a field based Engineer however, as the role develops and the business progresses, there will quickly be opportunities for career development. The role would suit a Lead Engineer/Senior Engineer with ambition to progress into management in the short - medium term.

The successful Door Engineer will you be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing automatic door systems.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial door systems.
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing automatic gates and barriers.
  • Fault finding.
  • Basic electrical wiring.
  • Quoting, surveying, and estimating.
  • Identifying additional sales opportunities.
  • Following EN 16005 / BS 7036 guideline standards.

To be successful within the role you will ideally have:

  • Experience working on automatic door systems, industrial door systems, gates, and barriers.
  • A valid EN 16005 or BS 7036 certificate.
  • Electrical and mechanical experience.
  • A driving licence.
  • CSCS Card.
  • IPAF.
  • PASMA.
  • DHF Diploma.
