This multi-national manufacturer of food processing machinery are looking for experienced mechanical design engineers to join their growing mechanical design team. Based close to Sandy in Bedfordshire this is a fantastic opportunity with a very competitive salary.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies.
• Performing tolerance analysis to ensure high quality robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using tools such as FMEA, QFD and computer simulation
• End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data.
• Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer within a similar company.
• Experience in full cycle design of large bespoke/special purpose machinery.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes using sheet metal.
• 3D CAD (Inventor or Solidworks).

In return you will receive the following:

• Up to £45,000 per annum - basic salary.
• 22 days holiday (plus bank hols), increasing to 25 with service.
