The company are a recognised name in the engineering industry. Their products are used in a multitude of industries. They have a newly created requirement for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Energy division. In return they offer a very attractive salary and full benefits package.

Summary of Role:

Complete Design Work - in support of both new products and existing products

Provide Customer Facing Support - Provide Technical Support - Provide technical support and work closely with both their customers and the commercial team.


Complete Mechanical design activities for their products in Composite/Advanced Engineering materials and plastics. This includes calculations, materials recommendations, drawings, proposals

Provide technical support for order fulfilment activities, e.g. Quality issues, customer requested changes, quick troubleshooting / problem solving activities. When required, manage/conduct detailed Product Performance analysis.

Provide technical assistance to sales and their customers via in-person meetings & ongoing support.

Support the Commercial team by providing input on the technical feasibility of an opportunity, and engage in customer conversations to ensure alignment with our capabilities to drive timely delivery of solution to customer.

Support Future Value activities as needed

Complete defined Continuous Improvement activities as needed.


Must be degree qualified in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering.

Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is fully conversant in Solidworks,

Background in Process, Energy, Oil & Gas with experience in any of the following products: Pumps, Valves, Compressors, Seals, Pressure Equipment, Turbo Machinery.

Confident communicator as this position will involve interaction with the customer both over the telephone and face to face.

Salary Package and Benefits

Salary: £35k to £42k (Dependant on experience)

Contributory Pension Scheme (less than 3 years 5% contribution, over 3 years 9%)
