An exciting, well-funded VR & AR technology start-up are seeking to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. You will be working with a major West Coast USA based firm to manufacture cutting-edge technology for the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality sector. Based near Oxford, the company is offering an attractive basic salary, 25 days holiday, pension, life insurance as well as private medical and dental cover.

As Senior Manufacturing Engineer will you be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the R&D and innovation teams to identify the best way to manufacture the company's new products.
  • Defining the optimal process flow taking into account requirements from the design team, customer specifications and material/process limitations.
  • Support risk analysis and FMEA activities.
  • Setting up and maintaining the production line.
  • Building and managing a small team of Manufacturing Engineers.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing, Production, Process or NPI Engineer
  • Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BSc, BEng or equivalent in an Engineering or Science subject (such as Physics, Chemical or Mechanics).
  • Experience in the production of high tolerance, precision devices (such as medical devices, consumer electronics, optical or electro-mechanical systems, special purpose equipment or automotive or aerospace components).
  • Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes including (but not limited to) adhesives, ultrasonic welding, laser cutting, fluid handling, thin-film coats and handling of small components.
