An exciting opportunity at a prestigious and well-established automotive company has arisen, looking for a senior design engineer. Based in Oxford, this company is a leading force in the motorsport sector and automotive manufacturer. You will benefit from a starting salary of 60k increasing depending on experience.

As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will you be responsible for:

• Conceptual design and detailing of the mechanical, composite and hydraulic components and assemblies.
• Offer mentorship to junior engineers and build them up within the company.
• Support the verification and review of detailed drawings.
• Complete and manage the ownership of projects from concept to implementation incorporating the manufacture, build and testing.
• Strong CAD skills, preferably NX.

The successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

• Proven experience as a and an in-depth understanding of engineering principles and motorsport.
• Must have experience within the F1 industry.
• Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc supported by design, motorsport, aerospace or a similar field.
• Experience within simulation modelling and stress-based calculations.
• Strong project management skills, able to manage a diverse and numerous workloads to varying deadlines.
• 3D CAD such as NX

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will receive the following:

• £60,000 per annum (Negotiable DOE)
