Maintenance Technician

£28000 - £34000 per annum including shift allowance

Job Details

Due to a record breaking first few months of 2018 one of the leading providers of operational service to the onshore oil, gas and utilities sector are looking to expand with the appointment of a Maintenance Technician to join one of their main sites on a permanent shift basis.

As the Maintenance Technician you will be tasked with:

Maintaining plant availability at a minimum of 98% operability status.

Work to planned maintenance and inspection procedures and schedules.

Respond to corrective inspection defects.

Provide operational support as may be required from time to time and respond to emergency situations.

Full adoption of safe systems of work.

Partake in safe shift handover including communicating and plant or safety issues to other technicians.

The ideal Maintenance Technician will possess the following:

Hold a recognised qualification in a relevant engineering discipline up to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

Experience in either mechanical or electrical and fault finding.

Awareness of health and safety in an industrial environment and statutory legislation.

Exposure to the oil, gas, pipeline or bulk fuel industry would be an advantage.

Knowledge of COSHH, confined space or lifting operations.

Valid UK driving licence.
