Technical Trainer - South UK
Permanent - Up to £42,000 (DOE) and package.

A business with a history spanning over 20 year's working within Insurance and Warranty are now looking to bring another Technical Trainer into the company for the purpose of supporting their employees in being the best version of their professional selves & to allow the company to develop and quite simply continue to improve their processes.

Working alongside Builders, Developers and other client's this business require Surveyors (Building Control Surveyors and Building Surveyors) to be technically capable and to achieve Chartered status (CABE).

The Role

Working alongside another Technical Trainer and reporting into a Technical Training Manager you will oversee supporting surveyors within the business in the areas themselves and their line managers feel they need support from site inspections to compliance. You will support in creating a technical training structure, in creating technical manuals and in identifying any gaps in the training currently offered.

Aside from the above you will:

  • Conduct in-house and external training sessions.
  • Support with the development of the companies technical manual.
  • Deliver virtual training.
  • Support with CPD and Professional Interview preparation.

Ultimately there is progression within the company for the right person and this role allows a step away from the day to day site inspections/surveys you may have previously been completing.

The requirements

You will have come from a background within Building Control ideally, if not certainly Building Surveying and Project Management. You'll have a desire to coach and train others - ultimately making a difference to their careers and yours.

  • You must be Chartered via CABE - MCABE or FCABE. Alternatives may be considered e.g. MRICS/FRICS, MCIOB/FCIOB.
  • Must have experience within Building Control Surveying to an excellent level e.g. Building Control Management OR Project Management experience inclusive of the technical Building Surveying.
  • Must be willing to travel as necessary within the South of the UK.
