£32000 - £38000 per annum 25 days hol, Bonus, half day Friday

A manufacturer in the Automotive Industry has a new opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join the business. The company has been established for over 100 years and is one of the leaders in their field. The position offers progression and an attractive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer are:

  • To maintain and support IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certification and assessments
  • To assist with customer account related quality & warranty issues i.e. quality plans, audits, warranty, complaints, concessions etc.
  • To identify problems, determine root-cause and to coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and produce formal 8D reports
  • To compile and assist with Quality & Process documentation, i.e. Control Plans, Process Flow Maps, FMEA, Control Charts, Visual Aids, Work Instructions, etc
  • To conduct internal product and process audits, and audits on suppliers.

To be a successful Quality Engineer, you will ideally have the following

  • Quality background
  • Technical engineering background/Product Assembly is preferred in either the Automotive, Military or Rail sectors.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems preferred
  • Ideally be a trained auditor and have worked to 16949/9001 and 14001 standards
