Professional Technical take a great deal of care and invest a lot of time into selecting the candidates we represent.   We do this to ensure our candidates and clients are successful.  The market continues to be a very buoyant one in the engineering sector.

The way we select candidates we work with very much follows a clear pattern and ultimately it comes down to 3 factors:

  • Honesty
  • Communication

These areas of focus are plainly obvious for all good business relationships.  We don’t ask for any more than that.

So, to get the most out of Professional Technical or any other recruitment company for that matter, the following information is very important.

Honesty

It is absolutely essential, and should go without saying, that we have an open and honest relationship with you.  Tell us what you want and why you want it.  Give us the genuine reasons for leaving your previous roles.  Be honest about your current salary and future salary expectations.  Do not falsify academic or professional achievements.  All these points have exposed previous candidates and are extremely embarrassing for all concerned when they are discovered.  We are here to work with you and for you, honesty is a pre-requisite.

Commitment

Before you come to us please be sure you want to find alternative employment.  A lot of time and effort will be spent on your behalf by our expert consultants.  Getting to the end of the process to find you're not really looking is very damaging for our reputation and yours.
Limit the number of recruiters you register with and certainly be selective about where your CV is sent, again it can be harmful to your reputation if your CV goes out to lots of different companies.  It is important to maintain control over your CV, you don't want your CV sent out to a large number of businesses without your permission.  Our commitment to you is that we will work tirelessly on your behalf to ensure you are aware of the best opportunities on the market.

Communication

Please stay in touch with us, return our calls, keep us updated as to what your current situation is, we will be working hard on your behalf, any change in your situation or availability may have an impact on what we're doing.  So please keep us informed.
