is recruiting a Design Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturer in the East Midlands. We’re seeking individuals passionate about the motor industry (motorbikes or cars) with proven automotive experience.
Role Overview
:
You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and testing motorcycle accessories, from concept to production. Working with various engineering teams, you'll create high-quality products that enhance and personalised motorcycles worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Produce 3D CAD designs (PTC Creo) for accessory upgrades.
- Develop detailed technical drawings to BS 8888 & industry standards.
- Ensure designs meet material, strength, corrosion, cost, and mass requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Conduct initial validation with FEA and document test results.
Skills & Experience
:
- Passion for engineering, particularly in the motorcycle or automotive sector.
- Experience in motorcycle accessory design or similar products.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (preferably PTC Creo).
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
