Overview
Our client are a design, production, and fabrication company specialising in creative design, retail environments, spatial installations, pop-up, and set design, based in Southwest London. The client are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in creating captivating shop window fit outs to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Utilise technical design skills to create eye-catching shop window fit outs and similar display projects.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency, ideally in Vectorworks, to produce detailed, high-quality technical drawings, plans, and specifications ready for manufacture and production.
- Apply direct carpentry and/or joinery experience to contribute to in-house manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate all practical aspects of fit-out projects, including liaising with suppliers and installation teams, and demonstrating a good understanding of installation processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical design for shop window fit outs or similar display projects.
- Strong proficiency, ideally in Vectorworks.
- Ability to produce detailed, high-quality technical drawings, detailed plans, and specifications ready for manufacture and production.
- Direct carpentry and/or joinery experience with previous in-house manufacturing experience.
- Experience in coordinating all practical aspects of a fit-out project, including liaising with suppliers and installation teams, with a good understanding of installation processes.
Day-to-day
- Collaborate with the design, production, and fabrication teams to bring creative concepts to life.
- Create technical drawings and plans for shop window fit outs and display projects.
- Liaise with suppliers and installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
