Professional Technical is hiring a Design Engineer
for a leading automotive manufacturer in the East Midlands. We’re looking for individuals with a strong passion for cars or motorcycles and a proven background in the automotive industry. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing vehicle components while meeting time, cost, quality, and specification goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop vehicle components, including chassis and powertrain systems.
- Work closely with Specialists and Chief Engineers to meet technical requirements.
- Deliver projects within set timeframes and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve efficiency.
- Support project planning and help manage risks and issues.
- Contribute to additional tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proficient in CREO and surface modeling.
- Experience in automotive or motorcycle component design.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and performance targets.
