A leading company in the LED lighting manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join their design team. The company specialises in designing, engineering, and manufacturing lighting solutions for sectors such as Aerospace, Maritime, and commercial projects. The design team handles everything from concept to the completed product, ensuring high-quality solutions that enhance both functionality and aesthetics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and customised new and existing products.

  • Work on electronic design for aerospace lighting (0-28V).

  • Develop electronic prototypes using in-house equipment.

  • Work on control systems like CANBus (CAN/CANFD) and PWM for product control.

  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic components.

  • Create and review product documentation.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of best practice guidelines and quality standards (AS9100).

  • Collaborate with the design team, offering guidance and mentoring when needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering.

  • Ability to manage your workload and meet deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Experience in writing and compiling reports.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in industries such as hazardous area systems, automotive, aerospace, or medical.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with KiCAD (a design tool for electronics).
