Are you an experience Electronics Engineer looking to join a dynamic and growing business? This is an opportunity to work on technically challenging, high-profile projects across the defence sector, where your work will make it from concept to market.

You will design and develop custom electronics with a focus on High-Speed Digital systems and collaborate in the development of complex systems with technology including motor servos and video processors. You will be responsible for schematics and PCB layouts that are required to meet high standards for EMC, signal integrity and reliability.

This Electronics Engineer role is based 5 days a week on site in the Hampshire area and paying a salary of £50,000, due to the nature of the business you will need to be eligible for security clearance.

The Role of an Electronics Engineer:

  • Develop high-speed digital hardware with typical technologies including motor servos, video processors
  • Provide requirement analysis, concept development and design, implementation and installation
  • Utilise interface standards such as Ethernet, CoaxPress and HD-SDI.
  • carry out hardware level fault-finding to prove PCB functionality
  • Assist with embedded software development.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams.

Education and Experience required for this Electronics Engineer role:

  • BSc in Electronics Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of high-speed digital design
  • Good understanding of signal integrity and design for EMC
  • Proficiency and proven experience in schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium preferred)
  • Experience of hardware debug and testing at component level.
  • Excellent technical problem solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively or individually as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Be based in the UK with the relevant right to work documentation.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance.
