A Technology Manufacturer based in Andover, Hampshire is looking to recruit an Electronics Engineer to join their product design team designing and developing custom electronic hardware. This role is on site full time in Andover and offers a competitive starting salary and benefits.

As Electronics Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • High‑speed digital design — Develop custom electronic hardware with a strong focus on high‑speed digital systems.
  • System development — Contribute to full product‑development cycles including requirements analysis, concept creation, detailed design, implementation and installation.
  • Complex technologies — Work with technologies such as motor servo control, video processing hardware and high‑bandwidth interface standards (Ethernet, CoaXPress, HD‑SDI).
  • Schematic design — Produce high‑quality schematics that meet demanding EMC, signal‑integrity and reliability requirements.
  • PCB layout — Create PCB layouts optimised for high‑speed performance, noise control and robust operation.
  • Hardware debugging — Perform hardware‑level fault‑finding and validation to ensure PCB functionality.
  • Embedded support — Assist with embedded software development and integration as part of system bring‑up.

Key skills and experience needed for the Electronics Engineer:

  • High‑speed digital design — Extensive knowledge of modern high‑speed digital design principles.
  • Signal integrity & EMC — Strong understanding of signal‑integrity considerations and design for EMC compliance.
  • Schematic capture & PCB layout — Proven proficiency in schematic design and PCB layout (Altium preferred).
  • Hardware debugging — Hands‑on experience with component‑level hardware testing and fault‑finding.
  • Technical problem‑solving — Excellent analytical and debugging abilities.
  • Independent & collaborative working — Able to contribute effectively both as part of a team and when working alone.
  • Relevant qualification — BSc in Electronics or another numerate discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
