Feild Service Engineer

Due to further expansion, an established material handling business has a newly created opportunity for a Service Engineer to join the team in the Cambridge and Newmarket area. You will be working with a friendly team and working on some interesting equipment. This business prides itself on having a friendly, supportive culture with opportunities for training and progression.

Responsibilities of the Service Engineer

• Servicing and repair of trucks as directed by the Service Manager.
• Diagnosing the exact nature of each query and repair with a friendly, efficient, ‘ can-do ’ attitude.
• Completing a report for each job on a PDA system.

Requirements of the role:

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant, Maintenance or Vehicle – Preferably Apprentice trained
• Experienced Service Engineer in the MHE Industry
• Full UK Driving License
• Good at managing own workload and able to cope with pressure.
• Present a professional image - be trustworthy, punctual and polite.
• Good team player.

In return the Service Engineer will be offered the following package.

• Van – Personal use, first 50 personal miles free then 19p per mile
• Contracted 40-hour week, OT paid at one and a half Monday to Saturday and double time Sundays
• £100 on call pay with a minimum of 4hrs pay when called out.
• Referral Scheme: £1000 paid out when they start and a further £1000 after 12 months of employment.
• Holiday 25 days + Bank Holidays
• Contributory pension scheme
