A growing facilities management company is looking for a Gas Engineer to join the facilities maintenance team on a permanent basis, supporting commercial clients across Yorkshire. If you’re Gas Safe registered, have a solid background in domestic gas work, and are ready to train into the commercial sector, this could be your perfect next move. You’ll be out on the road, visiting a variety of commercial sites working alongside experienced engineers as you make the transition into commercial gas work.
From boiler servicing and fault-finding your days will be hands-on and varied. You'll also be expected to carry out other facilities maintenance tasks while on site this could include basic plumbing, general repairs or small multi-trade fixes that help keep customer sites running smoothly. No day will be the same, if you enjoy practical work, solving problems, and getting stuck into whatever’s needed, you’ll thrive here.

As a Gas Engineer you’ll get a company van, fuel card, and a salary between £30,000–£35,000 depending on experience, with overtime available.
Key Responsibilities for this Gas Engineer role:
- Liaise directly with customers on-site, representing the business in a professional and approachable manner at all times.
- Diagnose and fix issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s operations.
- Maintains, and repairs gas systems and appliances
- Be confident and capable other general maintenance tasks including plumbing, tiling and basic joinery.
- Maintain clear records of work completed; experience using a CRM or job management system is beneficial, but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Manage your daily workload efficiently and communicate with the office team as needed for job updates or support.
Skills and Qualifications needed for this Gas Engineer role:
- Gas Safe registered
- Experience in domestic gas servicing, maintenance or installations
- Someone eager to step up into commercial gas engineering
- Willingness to pitch in with general maintenance tasks when needed
- Full UK driving licence
- A practical mindset and a positive, self-motivated attitude
