A fast‑growing UK manufacturer which designs and delivers highly engineered products used in safety‑critical environments, is seeking a dynamic Head of Technical Sales to lead its commercial and technical customer‑engagement strategy. The organisation supports clients across healthcare, public sector, and complex infrastructure settings.

With significant investment in innovation, a strong pipeline of new product development, and a reputation for solving challenging customer problems through thoughtful design, the business is entering an exciting phase of scale and international expansion.

The Role:

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s global technical sales function, ensuring consistent excellence, robust technical support, and strong commercial alignment. You will lead a distributed team of technical specialists who provide product insight, specification guidance, and project support across international markets.

Responsibilities of the Head of Technical Sales

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Technical Sales Specialists, ensuring high performance and technical excellence.
  • Create and implement a global technical sales strategy aligned with commercial objectives and growth plans.
  • Oversee the creation of technical specifications, drawings, compliance documentation, and proposal support for major projects and tenders.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Engineering, Operations, and Installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Requirements for the Head of Technical Sales

  • Background in construction, architecture, design, or building products (preferred).
  • Strong technical confidence, with the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment.

As Head of Technical Sales, you will receive an excellent benefits package which includes:
