A market-leading supplier of shutters is offering a brand-new opportunity for an Industrial Door Engineer to join their expanding team. Based in Manchester and accross the North West region, this role is ideal for someone with industry knowledge who is passionate about field service engineering.
The company provides a structured training and development pathway, pairing you with an experienced team member to help you quickly settle in. In return, you’ll receive an excellent starting salary of £38,000+ with realistic first-year earnings exceeding £49,000 OTE. Alongside this, you’ll be provided with a fully equipped modern van, PDA, mobile phone, and premium overtime rates. Day-to-day payment, pension scheme, £120 standby allowance, and per-call-out payments every 4th week are also included.
Key Responsibilities as an Industrial Door Engineer
- Reporting to the Service Manager and responsible for the repair, service, and maintenance of roller shutters, sectional doors, high-speed doors, and loading bay equipment.
- Managing your own workload across customer sites within a set postcode area.
- Working hands-on with a wide variety of equipment produced in-house by the company.
- Completing all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Taking part in regular manufacturer training sessions.
- Playing a key role in upholding the company’s reputation and supporting its continued growth.
Requirements for an Industrial Door Engineer
- Experience working on shutters, sectionals, or loading bays.
- Industry qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, or NVQ are desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Additional knowledge of electrics, welding, or hydraulics is advantageous.
