Maintenance Engineer

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer in West Sussex – a business known for its scale, investment in automation, and commitment to engineering excellence. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, they supply many of the UK’s best-known food retailers from multiple high-performance sites.

As part of ongoing growth, they’re now seeking Multi-Skilled Engineers to join their production facilities in Chichester, working within a forward-thinking engineering team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring equipment up-time, resolving faults efficiently, and driving improvements across fast-paced FMCG lines.

This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term progression within a stable and growing business, with a salary of up to £50,000(dependent on experience) plus Panama shift pattern and excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities for this Maintenance Engineer role:

• Carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
• Using CMMS systems to manage and report on tasks.
• Ensuring H&S and food hygiene compliance at all times.
• Playing an active role in the shift team and supporting continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications needed for this Maintenance Engineer role:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Multi-Skilled with strong electrical knowledge.
• Manufacturing experience essential.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work at pace.
• Clear communicator with good team collaboration skills.
