If you’re an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer looking to build your career within a well-established UK business, this is your opportunity to join a respected manufacturer in the Hampshire area. You’ll be part of an established design engineering team, gaining hands-on exposure to develop complex systems including concept and development design, including requirement analysis and implementation and installation.
You need to be passionate about developing innovative products in a fast-moving team environment, be an excellent communicator and committed to producing quality designs. This role is on site 5 days per week and is paying an annual salary of £32,000.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing mechanisms and housings for various electro-optical systems
- Collaborating with the product design and engineering teams on product discovery
- Managing and maintaining up-to-date CAD files, assemblies and technical drawings
- Fault-finding and problem-solving design issues
- Develop complex systems including requirement analysis.
Qualifications and Experience required for this Mechanical Design Engineer role:
- Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- A graduate or someone with 1–2 years’ design experience
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autocad.
- Confident and effective communication skills
- Numerate, computer literate and highly detail-focused
- Positive, proactive and forward-thinking mindset
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Optical Design, FEA, FDA experience would be beneficial.
- Eligible for UK security clearance (due to the nature of the business)
