New contract opportunity for a senior level QA Engineer to join a leading Aerospace business situated in the Luton area. Offering highly competitive rates between £50 to £55 p/h, with a 12-month contract and hybrid options. Applicants will need to live in a commutable area to Luton and be available to start their next contract asap.

Responsibilities:

  • Site champion, facilitating and supporting root cause corrective actions
  • Ensure all design, design change and technical documentation for product continues airworthiness meet EASA/CAA Part 21J airworthiness and customer requirements when working with Part 21G organization.
  • Support design reviews PDR/CDR and all stages of DEV program to integrate quality, safety and producibility into initial design
  • Production organization defect analysis supported with RCA implemented for effective customer feedback
  • APQP process champion enabling manufacturing techniques for Part 21G organization and robust deployment.
  • Strategy for APQP tools deployed for NPI created and deployed.
  • Supporting DFMEA/PFMEA for industrialization improvements and Part 21G organization performance
  • Internal/External FAIRS/PPAPs compiled where required with status report.
  • Customer interaction to accommodate for quality escapes and request for customer approvals in conjunction with the specific program.
  • Customer EASA, CAA, ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements and audits supported with NCR closeout oversight and follow on sessions implemented.

Requirements:

  • Highly experienced in the Aerospace industry in a QA role.
  • Problem solving proficiency including 8D with Six Sigma and Green or Black being desired.
  • APQP Tools knowledge with proficiency demonstrated working with PPAP, FMEA and MSA
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 QMS and ISO9001 standards, deployment and implementation.
  • Understanding of EASA/CAA part 21J and/or Part 21G
  • Experienced in both internal and external auditing
  • Configuration and data management experience
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and technical specifications.
