Senior Managing Engineer – Automatic & Industrial Doors

Birmingham (field-based) | £52,000 + Company Van

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a large, well-established facilities management company, for a Senior Managing Engineer to lead automatic and industrial door operations across the Birmingham area.

This role is 60% hands-on and 40% office-based, combining technical door engineering with leadership responsibility. As a Senior Managing Engineer, you’ll support service, maintenance, and call-out activities while managing a team of door engineers.

Key responsibilities:

• Hands-on work across automatic & industrial doors
• Manage engineer rotas, on-call cover, and PPM schedules
• Order parts and manage spares and materials
• Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers
• Ensure safety, compliance, KPIs, and SLAs are achieved

About you:
You’ll be an experienced door industry professional with proven team leadership experience. The Senior Managing Engineer will be confident managing workloads, supporting escalations, and maintaining high service standards across customer sites.

• £52,000 basic salary
