Service Engineer / Forklift Engineer

A leading and rapidly growing Material Handling company is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Engineer to join their expanding team, covering the Croydon area. This is a newly created role due to continued business growth — a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for stability, support, and career progression.

The role of a Service Engineer:

• Service, maintenance, and repair of forklift trucks as directed by the Service Manager
• Diagnose faults across Electric, Hybrid, and Mechanical trucks
• Provide efficient, friendly service with a 'can-do' attitude
• Accurately complete job reports via PDA
• Travel to client sites across the Croydon area

Requirements of a Service Engineer

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant, Maintenance, or Vehicle (Apprenticeship-trained preferred)
• Will take experience from Plant Fitters, Vehicle Technicians, or Forklift Engineers
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Professional presentation and a team-player mindset
